Having spent more than three decades working in furniture design, my love of beautifully made furniture has never changed. For me, it has always been about the details, the proportions, the comfort, the materials and those small decisions that can completely transform a piece.

What began as a small, independent family-run business has grown considerably over the years. While a personal, family ethos remains at the heart of Upholstory, today we work with some of the UK’s leading names in interior design, creating bespoke furniture for high-end residential and luxury hospitality projects in the UK and internationally.

While I continue to lead the creative direction of the business, Upholstory is very much a collective effort. I am incredibly proud of the talented team we have built around us. Their skill, over 150 years of combined experience, and dedication to their craft are at the heart of every piece that leaves our Surrey workshop.

Just as important to me are the relationships we build with our clients. We have always believed in a highly personal and collaborative approach, taking the time to understand not only how something should look, but how it should feel, function and belong within its surroundings.

After more than 30 years in this industry, I still get enormous satisfaction from seeing an idea on paper become a beautifully finished piece of furniture. Every commission has its own story, and I feel incredibly fortunate that our clients trust us to be part of it.
